Introducing Tel Green – Co-owner and Spray Operator
I am co-owner and sprayer operator of Greenline Ag Ltd. I grew up in England and moved to New Zealand in 2000. I have been involved in the agricultural industry for 16 years both in the UK and New Zealand. After finishing school I worked on a large arable farm as well as studying towards and attaining a NVQ level 2 Agriculture from Broksby College in the UK.
When I came in New Zealand in 2000 I worked on, then took over the management of a 2000 acre arable farm in Southland growing a range of crops; cereals, specialist grass seed crops and vegetable seed crops. I managed this farm for 10 years. I have also worked for local contractors doing silaging and ground work.
Kat and I farmed our own 50 hectare block in Southland growing cereals and grass seed, and cutting silage. I also have a tungsten welding business.
I am a Growsafe approved handler and have PA1 and PA2 certificates (UK equivalent to Growsafe). I have also done correspondence study through Massey University.
I can offer practical independent advice on chemical types, rates and timing, and fertiliser application, based on my own experience.
I am a keen fisherman and get out sea fishing as often as I can. I also enjoy trout fishing, shooting and skiing.
I am looking forward to meeting existing and new clients, continuing on the great service provided by Chris Vanderweg, and helping you grow great crops.
